Saw Palmetto is widely used as a regulator to the hormonal system, in particular to balance Testosterone levels, however it is also an excellent tonic to the kidneys and urinary system, with diuretic and antiseptic properties. This makes it valuable for complaints such as Cystitis and other urinary infections.

The leaves of Uva Ursi have powerful astringent properties, and a marked diuretic action. The herb is both soothing and strengthening to the urinary passage, making it appropriate for use in diseases of the bladder and kidneys. It contains a glycoside called Arbutin which has an antiseptic action which cleanses the urinary tract.

These two herbs therefore work together in their support of the kidneys and urinary system, and may be helpful in all Prostate problems.
